My name is Kieran Meyer. I’m an avid explorer who loves learning new things. I enjoy being outside, I enjoy music, and, of course, I enjoy writing.
I’ve been writing since grade school, and after graduating college I decided to take my writing more seriously. I write fantasy and fiction, currently working on a short story series, Felix, editing a young adult fantasy novella, Elements, and developing a high school fiction novel for National Novel Writing Month 2016 (better known as NaNoWriMo).
Every time I read something, I notice a new and different thing that I try at least once in my writing. My favorite writers are currently Neil Gaiman, Jack London, George R.R. Martin, J.K. Rowling, Hayao Miyazaki, and Orson Scott Card. This list is always changing, since there are so many writers out there.
Currently, I serve as a moderator for Becoming Writer, a writing group hosted by The Write Practice. I’ve been active with the group since March 2015 and have served as a judge for the First Meetings Writing Contest they hosted in August 2015. All the writers there keep me motivated and inspired as I continue to explore this craft.
